<p>AMUOBA Delhi was established in 1973 and has been striving to create a platform where all Aligs can cogme together and keep alive the AMU community feeling as is proudly said &quot;Once an Aligarian always an Aligarian&quot; as we unite as one wherever in the world we meet.</p>

<p>Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys' Association, Delhi-NCR is emerging as a one point contact for all Aligs passing out of AMU and coming to Delhi NCR for their careers, further education, transiting thru Delhi etc etc.</p>

<p>The present Executive Committee is aiming at achieving its goals and the most important Agenda is &quot;To Construct a Sir Syed Center&quot; in Delhi NCR region pretty much on the same lines as IICC but this Center would cater to the needs of Aligs only and their guests.</p>

<p>We have perceived the Sir Syed Center to have an Auditorium, a Conference Hall, a Library, a help desk for the newly passed out students from AMU, a study room for coaching and other purposes and a few rooms for Aligs based abroad and their guests.</p>

<p>We have identified a land in NOIDA bout 2000 sq.yards for this purpose. The cost of this land is approx INR 10 crores for which negotiations are ongoing. We estimate the building to cost another 10 crores. But the first step is to procure the land which is the main agenda for the present Executive Committee. We are focusing on purchasing and inauguration of the land during our tenure by laying its Foundation stone. The Next Executive Committee will take up the actual construction work .</p>

<p>Our Alumni are holding many prestigious positions in India and abroad. Many of our Alumni while visiting Delhi have often expressed the need for an exclusive Alig Center catering to their needs like a guest house where they can stay at a nominal cost while passing thru Delhi.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Therefore, with all earnestness and full confidence in your urge to support this noble cause, we solicit your generous contributions and donations towards it. We appeal to all to please take an active part in our mission to achieve this mega project work which will benefit us all Aligs.</p>
